Appleford Village Hall
Appleford Village Hall has now been refurbished and extended. Mr Ed Vaizey, MP, officially opened the new Hall on Saturday 26th April.
The refurbishment and extension of the village hall has been made possible by the award of Village Hall Challenge prize money of £50,000 from Waste Recycling Environmental Ltd (WREN), and additional grant funding from the Vale of White Horse District Council, Oxfordshire County Council and ACRE - COMMA. The Oxfordshire Rural Community Council (ORCC) provided invaluable advice on attracting this funding.
The new hall has a kitchen, changing rooms, main hall and small committee room, and has improved access to the hall across the recreation ground. The hall is managed by the Appleford Village Hall Management Committee.
Hiring The village hall is available for hire and has a playground area right next to it - ideal for children's parties, etc. The rate of hire varies depending on who may be using the hall. These charges are very modest and, taking this into consideration, the hall is expected to be left in the same state it was on arrival.
